Golden Globes 2012

Like most of you at home, Khojo wasn't interested in who won a Globe award, but more interested in the...(wait for it, wait for it, wait for it) DRESSES!!!  Since we don't typically follow what the media decides as the best dressed, you might want to take a look at some our favorites and some of our "Girl, you should have ordered a Khojo Dress!"

Our 1st pick (Drum Roll) CHARLIZE THERON in Vintage Dior!

If anyone knows about fashion, it's a no brainer on why Khojo's first pick was Ms. Theron.  It's very rare to find anyone to complete the whole look from head to toe!  She looked effortless!

Tip 1:  Less is more!  Charlize killed this look with minimum accessories and most importantly effortless makeup.  Yes, we all love the bold pinks, red, and purple lip colors...but to achieve this graceful look less is really more.

Next up...KATE BECKINSALE in Cavalli

Kate Beckinsale can never fail on the red carpet.  Once again,  we have another actress who completed her look gracefully.
Tip 2: Your accessories should always compliment your dress!  Learn to balance your look with minimum accessories.  Remember, your dress should be the main attraction at all times.

Lastly, Octavia Spencer

Octavia Spencer rocked a lavender Tadashi Shoji gown!  The pleated dress complimented her hour glass shape which leads us to our 3rd tip.

Tip 3:  Learn what dress works for your body.  Not every dress is made to be worn by you.  It's clear that Ms. Spencer knows exactly what works for her!

Now there were many celebs on the red carpet which made us ask, where is your stylist!  Unfortunately, they fell under the category, "Girl, you should have ordered a Khojo Dress!"  Take a look.

We adore Sarah Michelle Gellar...but this print went wrong!  "Girl, you should have ordered a Khojo Dress!"

Mila Kunis...Girl, you should have ordered a Khojo Dress!"    The fitting, color, and cut just seemed a little off to us.

Lastly, Jessica Biel seems flushed out in this sequin number.  "Girl, you should have ordered a Khojo Dress!"

ALL SAINTS SPITAFIELD

Hello Khojo Lovers!  I know it's been a while, but in all fairness I have some goodies lined up for you!  To be quite frank, I've been  searching for something to inspire me to blog again.  I didn't think it would be fair to just provide you with a site and fashion tips that didn't come straight from my heart.  So as I was taking my walk down Michigan avenue in search of  a dress that blew my mind away, I ran into All Saints!

All Saints Spitafield is very popular in the UK and has recently opened up at  700. N Michigan Chicago, IL.  Let's just say the store almost took my breath away. :)  For the first time, I entered into a store where the fashion cleverness wasn't about the dresses, but the actual building.  I actually felt we had intruders from another planet coming to take over.  If the store could talk, it would probably say "We are here to stay and conquer! or as Kevin Hart would say it, "they are here" lol.

Here some pieces they have in store for some of the men...

all-saints-men

Love the rugged boots for the men!  Hot!!! They can be worn all year round....with the right pieces of course!

Sorry Fellas, now we are off to the ladies!

In 1998 Womenswear was born directly out of the expanding menswear collection of sharp tailoring, fine knits and the signature washed leathers.  The finishing of their dress line is quite immaculate.  They offer looks for all types of women from edgy to sexy, rock star, to baby doll, chic simplicity to rugged.  I expect to see celebs such as Lisa Bonet, Lauryn Hill, Zoe Kravitz, Kate Moss, Rihanna, and Solange to name a few.

Love the baggy boyfriend jeans with the sequin tank.  It's so comfortable and effortless!  If your a mother to be, get yourself a pair.  All you need is one size up from you regular size.  It helps conceal the baby weight and maintain "fabolousity" while picking up groceries.

So Angelic!!! I love this dress. Why?  This is a classic piece that you can wear multiple times with multiple looks.  At Khojo, we are about saving our clients money and placing classic pieces in their wardrobe.

Sequin, Sequin, Sequin!!!  This is sequin done right!  You see how the colors just bounce well off her skin tone...gorgeous.  When rocking sequin, just don't wear any sequin dress.  It has to fit your personality and make your skin pop for you to glow and look eclectic.

This curtain dress is perfect for bbq's, picnics, and date night! It has a Grecian look to it that can be paired up with a wedge heel or even a fitted leather jacked when it gets a little chilly.

On the evening of March 24, 2011, The Red Pump Project held the 2nd annual “Rock the RED: Bold. Fashion. Awareness.” Fashion Show in commemoration of annual National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. Mila Kunis looked fierce at the Oscars this year. I love the color and the cut of the lavender dress. The Khojo dress on the left would look gorgeous for any event you have to attend in the spring or summer. This dress can be found on www.khojodresses.com.

red

At the Oscars this year, red was a very popular color choice. A red dress is such a statement piece. If you are looking to stand out at your next event red is a great color choice.

Award Season

award season

Lets start with the most outrageous looks seen at the Grammy's this year. I love leopard print don't get me wrong, but I prefer a touch of leopard print not it covering your body from head to toe. Nikki loves to push the envelope and I love that about her but I'm not digging this look

Lady Gaga never fails to put on a show.  That's just what she did this year at the Grammy's showing up not in a limo but in an egg.

Only someone that has a rocking body like Ciara could pull this dress off. I love the color and the patter on the bottom, but there are just too many cut outs going on. I love the top of the dress, but if the slit not as high it would make it look more proportioned.

Katy Perry always like to be playful, but her wings and jeweled bra made her look like she belonged in the Victoria Secret fashion show. I really love her long hair and middle part.

Jennifer Lopez looked life a life sized disco ball at the Grammy's this year. I loved the dress, purse, and shoes but not all together. Remember less is better don't over do an outfit, and be careful if you wear those studded Louboutin's. Jen stabbed her foot and the paramedics had to be called!!

After seeing Nicole Kidman being on the worst dressed list the last few events she attended it's nice to finally see she picked a knockout dress. The colors in this dress looks great with her skin tone, and I love the light curls in her hair. I hope she continues this good dressing trend.

I love everything about this dress. The color, luster, and cut is a knockout. Her hair is cute also. It seems the side part and the light waves were big hit this award show.

Kelly Osbourne's look was one of my favorites this year. This color lavender would be a cute spring color. I really love the texture of the dress as well and the satin ribbon bow tied in the middle. It's safe to say Kelly Osbourne's new body is fierce.

Heidi had me a little nervous as to what she was going to wear, and its nice to know we have our fashionable Heidi back!

This Jean Paul Gaultier dress caused quite the stir but I love it. Rhianna is the only person I know that could pull it off and I love that she did. O na na what's my name

Brit Awards

Even though I'm not a huge fan of gloves or huge bows in your hair I just can't look away, and the sequin detail on the dress is to die for.
I love the simplicity of this white dress. This look would be a perfect outfit to wear to a party in the spring or summer. Love Love

I haven't heard much from Avril lately, but I love the fringe on the bottom of the dress. I'm glad to see she went with black because a color might be a little too crazy with her streaks of colored hair.

I'm not fan of this dress at all. She almost looks like a dinosaur with the spikes on the sleeves of the dress. But i really doenjoy her hair and makeup.
